January 16 – Super Saturday: Everyday Science Mysteries (K-8)

Explore and design lessons from the NSTA’s Everyday Science Mysteries & More Everyday Science Mysteries books. These stories are created for inquiry-based science teaching and will stimulate students to think of possible solutions to the "mysteries" that happen in our everyday world. Formative assessment probes from NSTA"s Uncovering Student Ideas in Science will also be introduced with these lessons. Sorting, organizing, classifying, graphing, comparing, contrasting, and predicting…BIG concepts and BIG words for early elementary students. Come engage in proven hands-on lessons and activities from AIMS Winter Wonders and gain great ideas for activities that will deepen your students' understanding of the BIG Ideas of Data Analysis and Probability. February 20 – Super Saturday: Science Notebooking and Foldables (K-8)

Graphic organizers and science journaling can add up to fun! Make an impact on how students organize the tons of information given to them on a daily basis. Also explore the use of creative ideas to assess student understanding of science concepts. Participants will create foldables using Dinah Zikes books and explore the integration of these into notebooks with Using Science Notebooks in the Elementary Classrooms as well as other appropriate journaling articles. February 20 – Super Saturday: Geometry EOC Prep Using Hands-on Investigation (HS Geometry)

Prepare your students for the Geometry EOC using hands-on investigations that will stick with them on the test. Activities are matched to released items from previous tests. February 22 – CMASE/NASA Night: Looking at Earth - Collecting and Analyzing Data (4 -12)

Netbooks and portable probeware make data collection and analysis much more understandable and easily accessible to students. Spend this session learning how to use this practical, easy to use probeware/netbook setup for field and classroom data collection. April 19 – NASA Night: Global Change and Climate Confusion? (4-10)

Spend this session using NASA and GEMS materials looking at the world of global changes that are affecting the planet. Explore the concepts of planetary warming and cooling with discussion of positive and/or negative impact on the Earth. Up to date information will be provided and discussion will occur about what's happening now and in the future. May 3 – NASA Night: Field Trip to the Moon (4-8)

Join this virtual journey to the moon created by and using NASA engineering models and scientific data. Like NASA's astronauts, come face-to-face with the challenges and excitement of traveling through space to land on the Moon. Along the way, discover some of the differences between the Earth and the Moon and what makes our planet unique and habitable.
